President DU meets with Jim Harkness, director of IATP

On June 3rd 2013, President DU Zhixiong met with Mr. Jim Harkness, Director of the US based Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policies (IATP) in Beijing. They exchanged their ideas and views on recent situations of agriultural developent in both China and USA, china's food scurity policies and the roles of transnational corporations in China’s agriculture.

Dueing the meeting, President DU gave a special introduction on the preparation for the forthcoming "International Conference on Sino-Foreign Comparison of Agricultural Modernization" to be organized by CSFAE and Rural Development Institute. Mr. Harkness showed his interest in get involved in this event.

Secretary-in-chief of CSFAE, Dr TAN joined the meeting.
