On May 22, 2013, at the invitation of the China International Poverty Alleviation Center, Zhu Lizhi gave a special lecture entitled "Ecological Environmental Protection and Poverty Reduction in China" at the "Nigeria Poverty Reduction Strategy Seminar.

Researcher Zhu Lizhi's lecture first introduced the current situation of China's ecological environment and China's environmental legal system, and then combined with China's 14 poverty-stricken areas to clarify the importance of ecological environmental protection to poverty reduction, and put forward the concept of "ecological poverty reduction. On June 28, 2013, at the invitation of the China Society for Sustainable Development and the United Nations Association of China, Zhu Lizhi gave a special report entitled "Ecological Agriculture and Ecological Civilization" at the "Symposium on challenges facing China's Sustainable Development and the United Nations Sustainable Development goals" held in Zhuhai.
