China Foreign Agricultural Economic Research Association 2022 Maritime Silk Road International Agricultural Cooperation Seminar Successfully Held
On September 25, 2022, sponsored by the China Foreign Agricultural Economic Research Association and the Rural Development Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the 2022 Maritime Silk Road Agricultural International Cooperation Seminar, jointly organized by the National Institute of Agricultural system and Development, the School of Economics and Management of South China Agricultural University, and the key Laboratory of philosophy and Social Sciences of Guangdong Province, the Agricultural and Rural Policy Reform and Innovation Laboratory and the Rural Revitalization Laboratory, was successfully held. The meeting invited the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Development Research Center of the State Council, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Rural Economic Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Institute of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce, the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, the Ali Research Institute, and Zhejiang University, China Agricultural University, South China Agricultural University, Hainan University, Guangxi University, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University and other scientific research institutions and well-known universities 15 experts and scholars, in-depth discussions were conducted on the key areas, key issues and policy needs of promoting international agricultural cooperation on the Maritime Silk Road, and 90 members and observers attended the meeting. The conference set up the opening ceremony, the seminar, the closing ceremony of the three links.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Luo Mingzhong, Executive Dean of the School of Economics and Management of South China Agricultural University, and researcher Yuan Peng, deputy director of the Institute of Rural Development of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and president of the China Foreign Agricultural Economic Research Association. Professor Luo Biliang, President of the National Agricultural system and Development Research Institute of South China Agricultural University, delivered a speech.
The seminar was divided into two sessions in the morning and afternoon. Nine experts and scholars were invited to give special reports, and four experts and scholars commented on the special reports.
The morning seminar was presided over by Professor Qian Wenrong, Dean of the China Rural Development Research Institute of Zhejiang University, and commented by Professor Luo Biliang and researcher Chen Jie, deputy director of the Rural Economic Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Zhong Feiteng, a researcher at the Institute of Asia-Pacific and Global Strategy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, evaluated the effects of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in dealing with the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict on world food security under the topic of "the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and the Belt and Road Initiative Agricultural Cooperation". This paper analyzes the differences and reasons between the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the US-led Global Food Security Summit on food security statements, the role of "the belt and road initiative" agricultural international cooperation in ensuring global food security is expounded. Chen Yangfen, a researcher at the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, introduced the results of the calculation of the impact of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) on the price and production of China's agricultural products, import prices and quantities under the title of "Simulation of the impact of RCEP on China's agricultural development and cooperation strategies", and concluded that there is a strong complementary and weak competitive relationship between China and RCEP member countries in agricultural cooperation, suggestions were put forward for China to strengthen international agricultural cooperation and promote the high-quality development of modern agriculture. Han Yang, a researcher at the Rural Economic Research Department of the Development Research Center of the State Council, analyzed the relationship between fishery development achievements and international open cooperation, and looked forward to the development trend of fishery and the promotion of international fishery cooperation with the topic of "Some Thoughts on International Cooperation in Fisheries on the Maritime Silk Road". Prospects. Lv Lingli, a professor at the School of Economics of Guangxi University, analyzed the opportunities and challenges brought by RCEP to the development of modern agriculture in Guangxi under the title of "The Impact of RCEP on Guangxi Agriculture and Suggestions for Measures", and proposed to carry out the creation of Guangxi's advantageous export agricultural product industrial clusters to build RCEP bulk agricultural products The international trading center plans the agricultural enterprise development alliance between Guangxi, Guangdong, Yunnan, Guizhou, Hainan and other five provinces and RCEP member states.
The afternoon seminar was presided over by Professor Hu Xinyan, Executive Dean of the National Institute of Agricultural System and Development of South China Agricultural University, and was commented by Professor Fu Guohua, Vice President of Hainan University, and Professor Li Chun of the School of Economics and Management of China Agricultural University. Professor Luo Mingzhong, Executive Dean of the School of Economics and Management of South China Agricultural University, took "New Trends in the International Grain Market and Their Impact and Enlightenment on my country" as the topic, discussed the impact of global grain price increases, grain business adjustments, and differentiated regional functions on international food The impact of the market and China's grain imports puts forward policy recommendations to ensure national food security, such as improving China's grain productivity and enhancing the voice of the grain market. Zhuang Peifen, a professor at Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University and director of the South Pacific Island Countries Research Center, took "Agricultural Products Trade and Agricultural Cross-border Investment between China and Countries along the Belt and Road" as the topic, and analyzed the national business card display platform played by China's overseas agricultural cooperation zones in the Belt and Road Initiative., Industrial agglomeration investment platform and other roles. Liu Ruijin, an associate researcher at the Rubber Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, introduced the development of the natural rubber industry, international trade, foreign investment, and cooperation trends under the title "The pattern and trend of foreign cooperation in the natural rubber industry", and analyzed the role of imports in ensuring China's natural rubber supply and the development trend of imported product structure. Hong Yong, associate researcher of the Electronic Commerce Research Institute of the Institute of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce, introduced the development trend of cross-border trade of agricultural products, the important role and main mode of cross-border e-commerce of agricultural products, and analyzed the new challenges faced by the development of cross-border e-commerce of agricultural products, such as imperfect credit system and unbalanced regional development, and put forward countermeasures and suggestions to deal with the new challenges. Zuo Chenming, a senior expert at Ali Research Institute and secretary-general of Xinxiang Research Center, introduced typical cases of rural digitalization, analyzed the enabling effect and main experience of digitalization on rural revitalization, and proposed a path to promote rural digitalization.
The closing ceremony of the meeting was presided over by Professor Hu Xinyan, and Hu Glacier, a researcher at the Institute of Rural Development of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and secretary-general of the China Foreign Agricultural Economic Research Association, made a concluding speech. Holding a seminar on international agricultural cooperation on the Maritime Silk Road, exploring new paths and models of international agricultural cooperation on the Maritime Silk Road, and promoting research on agricultural cooperation along the Belt and Road, demonstrating the responsibility and mission of agricultural scholars.
