The 2022 Annual Meeting and Academic Seminar of China Foreign Agricultural Economic Research Association was successfully held in Southwest University

On December 4, 2022, sponsored by the China Foreign Agricultural Economic Research Association and the Rural Development Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and co-organized by the School of Business and Commerce, the School of Economics and Management, and the Rural Revitalization Strategy Research Institute of Southwest University, the 2022 Conference and Academic Seminar was successfully held in the form of an online meeting. With the theme of "China's practice and international experience of firmly holding the two bottom lines", the conference discussed the Chinese practice plan and international experience of consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation, promoting the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas, accelerating the modernization of agriculture and rural areas, and promoting the common prosperity of farmers and rural areas. The conference set up the opening ceremony, the keynote report, the parallel forum, the closing ceremony of four links. 90 member representatives from more than 50 scientific research institutes across the country attended the meeting online.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Li Xiaoyang, Dean of the School of Business and Commerce of Southwest University, Professor Cui Yanqiang, Vice President of Southwest University, and Researcher Du Zhixiong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Institute of Rural Development of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Cui Yanqiang introduced the practical measures and experience results of Southwest University in helping to implement the rural revitalization strategy; Du Zhixiong emphasized the core content of building an agricultural power in his speech.

The keynote report session is divided into two sessions. The first half was presided over by Han Yi, a professor at the School of Business and Commerce of Southwest University. Professor Zhang Weiguo, President of Southwest University, was invited to give a report on "Rural Revitalization and County Economic Development", and Zhong Funing, a professor at Nanjing Agricultural University, was invited to give a report on "Population Change and Rural Governance". Luo Biliang, a professor at South China Agricultural University, was invited to give a report on "Asset Logic of Common Prosperity. The second half was presided over by Yang Dan, a professor at the School of Economics and Management of Southwest University, and invited Zhou Yingheng, a professor at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, to give a report on the practical experience of Japan's agricultural and rural modernization. Mi Yunsheng, a professor at the School of Economics and Management of South China Agricultural University, was invited to give a report on the third way to the reform of land management rights: the Irish tenancy bill and its experience and its enlightenment to China, lin Faqin, a professor at the School of Economics and Management of China Agricultural University, was invited to give a report on "Trade Liberalization and China's Nutrition Transformation.

The parallel forum is divided into two parts: the thematic forum and the introduction of research results. The special forums are the Common Prosperity Forum co-organized by the Poverty Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Global Important Agricultural Cultural Heritage and Agricultural Ecosystem Forum co-organized by the Agricultural Cultural Heritage Branch of the Chinese Agricultural Society, and the China Agricultural Equipment Industry Development Research Institute of Jiangsu University A total of 24 experts and scholars spoke or commented on the theme of the forum. In the introduction part of research results, based on the evaluation results of members' contributions, 4 sub-venues and 7 special forums were set up. The themes were agricultural production and operation mode under the background of scale, farmers' behavior change and its influence, global agricultural transformation and development, global value chain and trade expansion, sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas, climate change and agricultural ecological economy, digital technology and rural revitalization, A total of 31 members introduced the research results, 22 experts and scholars commented.

The closing ceremony was presided over by Lu Jie, vice president of the China Foreign Agricultural Economic Research Association, Hu Glacier, secretary general of the China Foreign Agricultural Economic Research Association, made a report on the work of the research association, Zeng Yinchu, chairman of the China Foreign Agricultural Economic Research Association, made a report on the work of the board of supervisors, Li Xiaoyang made a concluding speech, and Yang Guotao, dean of the School of Economics and Management of Ningxia University, delivered a speech on behalf of the 2023. Finally, Yuan Peng, President of China Foreign Agricultural Economic Research Association, made a concluding speech.

The opening ceremony and keynote report of the conference took the form of simultaneous live broadcast, which was watched by more than 5000 people.
