Cheng Guoqiang: Big Food View: Structural Change, Policy Implications and Practical Logic
At present, our country has entered a new stage from middle-income to high-income, and to the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country. On the basis of analyzing and identifying the structural characteristics and changing trends of food consumption in China, this paper explains the practical significance and policy implications of establishing a big food concept in the new development stage, and makes a preliminary assessment of the current situation and future challenges of food security in China, and puts forward practical logic and policy orientation for the new development stage to practice the big food concept. This paper holds that the policy meaning of the big food concept is to promote the deepening and expansion of food security to food security, and its practical logic is to establish the big resource concept, the big agriculture concept and the big market concept, with food security, ecological security and food security as the core foundation, to deal with the challenge of the continuous decline of China's food self-sufficiency rate in the future, and to ensure national food security, we must deeply practice the big food concept, we will step up efforts to establish and improve China's comprehensive food safety guarantee mechanism.
