buenos Aires, April 18: According to a weekly report released by Argentina's Buenos Aires Grain Exchange on Friday, as of April 16, 2014, Argentina's national corn harvest progress was 19.7 percent, up from 16.5 percent a week ago, but 12 points lower than the same period last year.

The report said that the area of corn already harvested in Argentina was 675,939 hectares, up from 568,009 hectares a week ago; the average yield was 7.21 tons per hectare, down from 7.33 tons per hectare a week ago; and the yield of corn already harvested was 4.871 million tons, up from 4.166 million tons a week ago.
