the latest report released by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) shows that Cambodia's rice exports will increase slightly to 1.2 million tons in 2014 due to increased production.

The FAO said the rice export figures include unofficial exports of finished rice as well as rice exported through the border to Vietnam and Thailand. Cambodia exported about 120,291 tons of rice in the first four months of 2014, up 1.5 percent year-on-year. In 2013, Cambodia exported 378,856 tons of rice, up 84% year on year. FAO expects Cambodia to produce 9.5 million tons of rice in 2014, up 1% from the previous year.
