Abstract
The research on the system of agricultural insurance in developed countries can provide useful reference for the improvement of China's agricultural insurance system. Starting with the analysis of the development course of crop insurance in the United States, combined with the development and changes in recent years, this paper systematically combs the operation mechanism of grass-roots agents under the public-private partnership model in the United States, and expounds the ways and paths for the government, enterprises and related associations to provide support and protection for crop insurance business. The study found that the agency model characterized by specialized division of labor and the three-dimensional service network are the cornerstones of the efficient operation of crop insurance in the United States. Although the direct insurance model of agricultural insurance in the United States is different from that of China, some of the experience of the United States in carrying out business still helps China to further promote the division of labor in all aspects of agricultural insurance, promote the integration of public resources, and achieve cost savings and efficiency.
