Zhu Lizhi interviewed by Xinhua News Agency to interpret the Central Rural Work Conference
on December 24, 2014, Xinhua News Agency reporter Lin Hui interviewed Zhu Lizhi, vice president of the China Foreign Agricultural Economic Research Association and director of the Agricultural Resources and Environmental Economics Research Office of the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, on the relevant contents of the Central Rural work Conference.
In the interview, Zhu Lizhi stressed that China's agriculture should change from traditional agriculture and petroleum agriculture to modern and efficient ecological agriculture as soon as possible, and take the road of sustainable development. A series of policies, regulations and measures should focus on this aspect, and relevant reform plans should also be implemented in this aspect. We must make rational use of agricultural resources, effectively protect the agricultural ecological environment, ensure that the needs of present and future generations for agricultural products are met, and gradually realize the coordinated and balanced development of agricultural economy, society and ecology through technological progress, structural adjustment and institutional innovation.
Zhu Lizhi believes that the supply and demand situation of China's agricultural products is grim, and problems such as the shortage of cultivated land and water resources, environmental pollution and ecological degradation, and the frequent occurrence of natural disasters have become increasingly prominent. Agriculture has entered a special period of stronger resource constraints, greater environmental pressure, weaker ecological security, rising risks of foreign resource utilization and weak domestic operation drive, adjust the development ideas and goals of agriculture to expand from "ensuring supply and increasing income" to "three-life win-win" in production, life, and ecology ".
In the interview, Zhu Lizhi put forward seven aspects that should be paid attention to in China's agricultural development in the future: we should take into account the quantity and quality of resources at the same time, fully consider the carrying capacity of the ecological environment, not only plan the above-ground production, but also pay attention to the underground productivity. Instead of focusing on investment, we should pay attention to the material circulation in the system, pursue the overall development effect in different areas, and deal with the utilization of domestic and foreign resources, instead of one-sided pursuit of "arable grain", we should open up "three-dimensional grain" resources.
