Vice President Zhu Lizhi was invited to give a lecture at the Sino-British Symposium on "From Environmental Science to Environmental Policy".
On March 11, 2015, researcher Zhu Lizhi, director of the Resource and Environmental Economics Research Office of the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, was invited to attend the Sino-British "From Environmental Science to Environmental Policy" seminar co-sponsored by the Development Research Center of the State Council and the British Science and Innovation Global Network, and made an academic report entitled "Theories and Countermeasures of Ecological Agriculture Development.
Zhu Lizhi believes in the report that agriculture is the ecological industry that is most closely related to nature. At present, the resource and environmental problems faced by my country's agricultural development are unavoidable in the construction of ecological civilization. If these problems are not completely solved, the construction of ecological civilization cannot be discussed. Only by changing the mode of agricultural development, exploring the road of modern ecological agriculture development, and improving the agricultural and rural ecological environment, can we solidly promote the construction of ecological civilization. To a large extent, the development of contemporary agriculture is at the cost of excessive consumption of resources and destruction of the ecological environment, which is unsustainable in the long run. Integrating the rational use and protection of resources and environment into the development of agricultural industry is the correct direction of China's agricultural development in the future.
Zhu Lizhi emphasized that ecological agriculture is conducive to the efficient and comprehensive utilization of resources, is conducive to improving the carrying capacity of resources and the environment, and is conducive to stimulating the demand for ecological technology. The future ecological agriculture is different from the traditional ecological agriculture, should be modern and efficient ecological agriculture. To develop modern and efficient ecological agriculture, we need to overcome many difficulties, such as insufficient talent and technology reserves, low scale efficiency and imperfect incentive and guarantee measures; ecological agriculture in the new period needs modern scientific and technological system, large-scale organization and operation mode, and scientific policy support system guidance.
