forecast data released by Informa Economics, a private analysis firm in Tennessee, USA, shows that Brazil's soybean production in 2014/15 is expected to be 95.5 million tons, 1 million tons higher than the earlier forecast. In contrast, the forecast released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture on Wednesday was 94.5 million tons, which was the same as the forecast in May.

Informa also expects Argentina's soybean production to be 60 million tons in 2014/15, 1.5 million tons higher than the company's earlier forecast. In contrast, the U.S. Department of Agriculture this month also raised its forecast for Argentina's soybean production to 59.5 million tons from 58.5 million tons last month.
