the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will release its monthly supply and demand report for May at 12 noon Eastern Time on Tuesday (early Wednesday morning Beijing time). According to a survey by the Wall Street Journal, analysts predict that the U.S. Department of Agriculture may slightly increase global corn stocks for 2014/15.
Analysts this month expect global corn stocks to be 0.1895 billion tons in 2014/15, slightly lower than the USDA's April forecast of 0.1885 billion tons, with a forecast range of 0.1865 billion to 0.194 billion tons.
Analysts on average forecast the global corn ending inventory for 2015/16 to be 0.1854 billion tons, with the forecast range between 0.171 billion tons and 0.2005 billion tons. The USDA will release its first forecast for the 2015/16 annual supply and demand data on Tuesday. The following table is a breakdown of forecasts for each institution for the month.
