China's basic national conditions are that there are more people, less land and water shortage, diverse ecological types, and great pressure on food security. Promoting the sustainable development of agriculture is a major measure to implement the construction of ecological civilization at the 18th CPC National Congress and the third Plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee. it is an urgent need to speed up the transformation of the mode of agricultural development, enhance the stamina of agricultural development, and ensure food security. First, on the development path, while strengthening the governance of the agricultural environment, efforts should be made to improve the utilization efficiency of agricultural resources by deepening structural adjustment, strengthening infrastructure construction, and promoting agricultural scientific and technological innovation. Second, in terms of development goals, we should strive to achieve a dynamic balance between the supply capacity of domestic production, international trade and agricultural "going out" and the recuperation of resources, and adhere to the principle of "firmly holding the rice bowl in our own hands". Third, in terms of development steps, scientific planning, orderly progress, pilot projects first, highlight key points, first easy and then difficult, give priority to pilot projects in areas with serious ecological and environmental problems and mature prevention and control technologies, and then gradually demonstrate and promote them.

The path of sustainable agricultural development with Chinese characteristics should highlight the efficient use of resources, effective environmental management and ecological security protection, aiming to adjust the development ideas and goals of my country's agriculture, so that it can expand from "ensuring supply and increasing income" to production, life, and ecology. Win-win ". We should take the transformation of agricultural development mode as the main direction, ensure the effective supply of grain and other major agricultural products and promote farmers' income as the premise, take the reform of system and mechanism, scientific and technological innovation and technology promotion as the driving force, take the sustainable utilization of resources and environment as the principle, learn from history and international experience, effectively deal with the severe challenges, break through the resource and environmental constraints of lack of land and water, and make full use of the existing working foundation and conditions, plan major initiatives to effectively promote the simultaneous development of modern agriculture and sustainable agriculture.

The road of sustainable agricultural development with Chinese characteristics should conform to the requirements of the times, adhere to the common development of family management and diversified management forms, adhere to the complementarity of traditional intensive cultivation and modern technology and equipment, adhere to the coordination of high yield and high efficiency and the sustainable utilization of resources and ecology, adhere to the complementary functions of government support and protection and the decisive allocation of resources by the market, and accelerate the construction of a new agricultural management system, We will further promote the transformation of agricultural development mode.
