The Second President's Office Meeting of the Eighth Council was successfully held

on December 20, 2020, the 2nd President's Office Meeting of the 8th Council of the China Foreign Agricultural Economic Research Association was held through a combination of online and offline. President Yuan Peng and other 16 members of the president's office attended the meeting, and the deputy chief of supervisors and deputy secretary-general in Beijing attended the meeting as nonvoting delegates. The meeting heard the work report of the Secretariat, deployed the relevant work in 2021, and discussed the future development issues.

The meeting further standardized the daily work of the research society, including member development and media publicity, clarified the basic principles of results recommendation and organization establishment, discussed the theme and hosting organization of the 2021 annual meeting, and initially determined the theme of the 2021 annual meeting as "the new pattern of agricultural development under the global century-old changes". The meeting passed a vote to pass the new membership applications since August.

The president's office meeting agreed that in the future activities of the research society, it is necessary to clarify the "foreign" direction, expand the global vision, and strengthen exchanges and cooperation with internationally renowned institutions.
