The study found that:(1) the empowerment effect of digital transformation on the improvement of the business performance of agricultural enterprises was verified, and the effect was found to be continuously positive;(2) the efficiency of operating cost control played a complete intermediary effect in the transmission of digital transformation to enable the improvement of the business performance of agricultural enterprises, that is, digital transformation by improving the level of enterprise operating cost management, and then improving the level of agricultural enterprise operating performance;(3) The efficiency of period cost control plays a masking effect in the transmission of digital transformation to enable the improvement of the business performance of agricultural enterprises, that is, digital transformation increases the proportion of expenses in the total income of enterprises during the period, thus weakening the role of digital transformation in improving the business performance of enterprises. Based on the above findings, the study also puts forward the suggestions of digital transformation to empower the management performance of agricultural enterprises.
