The meeting affirmed the importance of vigorously developing new members, and believed that vice presidents should bear the responsibility of developing members more than ordinary members, and also have more advantages. The meeting agreed to the member development plan proposed by the secretariat, including member introduction and website publicity. At the same time, the vice presidents took the initiative to undertake the member development work and instructed the secretariat to propose an operation plan for member development through the vice presidents as soon as possible.
The Secretariat showed the current website construction situation to the meeting, and the vice presidents put forward specific suggestions on the website image logo, columns, data collection, update and maintenance. Vice President He Xiurong took the initiative to further modify and maintain the website. The vice-presidents also suggested possible sources of foreign agricultural economic data.
Based on the proposal of the first president's office meeting, the secretariat, under the guidance of the president, wrote the writing outline of "World Agriculture: Patterns and Trends" and the corresponding operating methods. This book will echo the works of the same name written by former vice president Ding Zeji in the 1990 s. The meeting had a heated discussion on this outline. The content design will study the overall design and brand building of the book department, the specific content of each chapter of the bibliography, and how to select the author. In view of the difficulty of operation of this book, no consensus has been reached on the content and operation. The meeting instructed the secretariat to further refine the outline and operation plan.
