Symposium on "TPP and Agriculture"
the Trans -Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP), as a comprehensive free trade agreement covering all goods and services, will have an important impact on international relations and the process of economic integration in the Asia-Pacific region. In the full start of the TPP negotiations, the agricultural issue is the focus and difficulty of the negotiations.
On the afternoon of May 15, 2015, the "TPP and Agricultural Issues" academic seminar jointly sponsored by the China Foreign Agricultural Economic Research Association, the Beijing Agricultural Economic Association and the School of Agriculture and Rural Development of Renmin University of China was held in the 931 of the Mingde Main Building of Renmin University Conference Room held. More than 30 experts and scholars from the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Institute of Rural Development of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the School of Economics and Management of China Agricultural University, the School of Economics and Management of Huazhong Agricultural University, the School of Economics and Management of Beijing Agricultural University, Dalian Commodity Exchange, COFCO and Renmin University attended the meeting, and conducted academic exchanges on the background and future trends of TTP negotiations and the impact of TTP negotiations on agriculture.
The academic seminar was organized by the Vice President of the Association, the President of the Beijing Agricultural Economics Association, and the Dean of the School of Agriculture and Rural Development of Renmin University of China tang Zhong professor presided. Professor Bao Jianyun, School of International Relations, Renmin University of China, Distinguished Professor, School of Agriculture and Rural Development, Renmin University of China, Senior Economist, Economic Research Bureau, USDA duan Zhihuang mr. and Weng Ming, executive director of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and researcher of the Institute of rural development of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, respectively made thematic reports entitled "TPP negotiations in the context of great power relations-problems, background and impact on China", "the impact of TPP on agriculture, including and excluding China-partial equilibrium analysis" and "the impact of TPP on China's agriculture.
Researcher Du Zhixiong, President of the Association, Vice President of the Beijing Agricultural Economics Association, Deputy Director of the Institute of Rural Development of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Researcher Ni Hongxing, Vice President of the Association, Director of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, Executive Director of the Association, Renmin University of China School of Agriculture and Rural Development zeng Yinchu professor, director of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and associate researcher Hu Glacier of the Institute of Rural Development of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences attended the meeting and expressed his opinions and views in the special discussion.
