Coffee: World Markets and Trade (USDA FAS)
Public reportsMarkets and TradeReport profile
Coffee: World Markets and Trade is a biannual analytical circular from the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (published each June and December). It presents U.S. and global coffee trade, production, consumption and ending-stocks data together with expert analysis of the developments shaping international coffee markets.
Coverage
The report tracks both arabica and robusta supply and demand across the principal producing and consuming origins — led by Brazil, Vietnam, Colombia, Indonesia, Ethiopia and Honduras — and follows marketing-year balances, export availability and import demand by major destinations.
Analytical focus
Rather than a bare price table, the circular interprets year-on-year shifts in production and trade: it explains how weather (drought in Vietnam and Indonesia, favourable yields in Brazil and Colombia), policy and competitiveness move global bean output, exports and stocks, and what these mean for originating and consuming markets.
Access
Current and archived editions, together with the underlying Production, Supply and Distribution (PS&D) data, are available from the USDA FAS coffee page linked above.
