South Korea intends to amend "hazardous food" to "unhealthy and undesirable food"

Developments

(Food safety hazards) refers to the potential damage or endanger food safety and quality factors or elements, including biological, chemical and physical hazards, the human body Ankang and life safety risk. Once the food contains these hazardous elements or is contaminated by these hazardous elements, it will become a potentially harmful food (Potentially hazardotIs foods), especially food that may have a microbial hazard.

On July 9, 2015, some members of South Korea put forward a draft partial amendment to the Food Sanitation Law, which amended the "harmful food" in the existing Food Sanitation Law to "unhealthy and undesirable food". After the amendment, the category of "unhealthy and undesirable food" will be expanded and adjusted.

The category of "improper and undesirable food" in the amendment is as follows:

1. A part or all of the food is not suitable as food because of decay or deterioration or not cooked;

2. Food is contaminated by harmful microorganisms;

3. In accordance with the rules of the Prime Minister's Order, animals suffering from diseases and food made from the meat, bones, milk, organs or blood of dead animals;

4. Food processed, packaged and kept in a non-hygienic environment that is considered harmful to health or may be contaminated by pollutants;

5. Informed to replace local or all main components with other substances, to cover up the use of damaged or inferior substances, to add a substance to increase its volume or weight and reduce the quality or advantages of production, or to exaggerate its value compared with practice.

The changes in the category of "hazardous food" are mainly aimed at today's increasingly serious food safety issues. Legislation from time to time to improve, improve the illegal cost of black-hearted businesses, is a more effective way to reduce food safety problems.
