Farmers' Differentiation, Land Transfer and Contract Withdrawal

Members' work

The differentiation of farmers does not promote the withdrawal of land contracting rights, but inhibits their willingness to withdraw from land contracting rights. Farmers with a lower degree of land dependence are more inclined to withdraw from land contracting rights, but the behavior of land transfer affects the willingness to withdraw from land contracting rights of farmers with a lower degree of differentiation to a greater extent. Farmers with a higher degree of differentiation and transferred out of contracted land have a lower willingness to withdraw from contracting rights, that is, groups of farmers who are more in line with the objective of the exit policy are more likely to continue to hold land contracting rights. This requires that when further exploring the exit mechanism of land contracting rights, we should improve the supporting policies, clarify the functional ownership of land contracting rights, set the scope of transferees, and let farmers have stable and reasonable value expectations for holding land contracting rights, so as to guide qualified farmers to rationally withdraw from land contracting rights.
