China Foreign Agricultural Economic Research Association Held 2020 Academic Report

on the afternoon of August 18, 2020, the China Foreign Agricultural Economic Research Association held an academic report on the 2020 conference. Researcher Li Xiande of the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Wang Yahua of the School of Public Administration of Tsinghua University, and Professor Paul Wilson of the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom made academic reports respectively.

Researcher Li Xiande's report on the impact of the new coronary pneumonia epidemic on the global agricultural market and food security and suggestions for response: starting from the current world agricultural market situation, the impact of the epidemic on the global agricultural market and food security was analyzed, and the situation of China's food security supply guarantee was discussed, and corresponding policy recommendations were put forward.

Researcher Wang Yahua's report on "Analysis of China's National Conditions and Agricultural and Rural Modernization Prospects from an International Comparative Perspective": Based on the perspective of modernization with Chinese characteristics, through the discussion of the three dimensions of natural material conditions, socio-economic attributes, and rules and system characteristics, the basic conditions of China The agricultural conditions were analyzed, and relevant guidelines for China's agricultural and rural modernization were put forward.

Professor Paul Wilson's report on "Developments and Directions in UK Agricultural Policy Making as the UK leaves the EU: Research into Policy Practice": Based on the history of agricultural policies in the UK and the EU, the development and direction of agricultural policy formulation in the UK after Brexit are discussed using the empirical analysis results of the impact of existing policies.

In the interactive link, the hollowing out of rural areas, food security, agricultural civilization protection and other issues were discussed. The academic report will be hosted by Tan Xuewen, and more than 300 members of the whole network will participate through video conference and live video.
