zhang Li, Wang Yahua

developing and strengthening the collective economy is an important measure to break through the dilemma of rural collective action and improve the ability of rural governance. Using the 2017 summer survey data of the China Rural Research Institute of Tsinghua University, this paper takes farmers' participation in the supply of irrigation facilities as an example, and makes an empirical analysis of how the collective economy affects the collective action of villages. The study found that the collective economy has a significant positive impact on the village collective action, the collective economy can not only influence the village collective action through the leadership of the village cadres, but also influence the village collective action through the villagers' sense of belonging, and then influence the village collective action through the leadership of the village cadres. Among them, the leadership of village cadres is the most important path. Further discussion shows that there are significant village differences in the influence path of collective economy on village collective action. The failure of village governance will weaken the influence of collective economy on the leadership of village cadres and village collective action, and will also restrict the leadership of village cadres. Only in the effective governance of the village, the collective economy will promote village collective action. This paper deepens the understanding of the mechanism of collective economic influence on village collective action, and provides theoretical basis and empirical support for the development and expansion of collective economy and the realization of effective rural governance.
