abstract: In 2035, China will basically realize modernization, and the main body of modernization is people. It is the proper meaning of socialist modernization to integrate farmers who account for more than 1/3 of China's population into the modernization process in order to achieve all-round development. Logically speaking, the comprehensive development of farmers should have the characteristics of full and balanced development in the dimensions of economy, society, politics, environment, quality and lifestyle. At this stage, the culture, health and information literacy of Chinese farmers have been improved to varying degrees, the modernization of economic dimensions has made obvious progress, political participation tends to improve, social participation presents individual differences, the living environment has improved significantly, and the awareness of modern lifestyle has been continuously improved. In the process of modernization, the promotion of the all-round development of farmers in our country is hindered not only by institutional mechanisms, but also by rural construction and farmers themselves. It is suggested that we should focus on breaking the dual structure system of urban and rural areas, take the equalization of urban and rural infrastructure and public services as the starting point, and focus on breaking the bottleneck of system and mechanism, promoting village construction and strengthening farmers' subjective consciousness to promote the all-round development of farmers in China.
